Health Updates
On May 23rd I had a video appointment to discuss the results of my recent genetic test. Genetic testing is all very complicated and hard to understand but I’ll explain what they told me to the best of my ability and understanding :)
The test they did tested over 200 different genes associated with conditions that have muscle weakness as a symptom.
The test came back negative.
Sooo now they have started a new genetic test but this one is a little different.
This time they’re testing for one specific condition called FSHD or Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy. This is a genetic muscle disorder in which the muscles of the face, shoulder blades, and upper arms are among the most affected.
We should have results back by the end of July or early August. Until then, it’s business as usual and we’re just going to enjoy the summer and let Jesus take the wheel. :)
I’ve been shying away from using cups lately because it’s getting harder to squeeze them but otherwise I don’t think anything has changed much since March.
I’ve had some clients ask me if i’m in pain and I realized that I never talked about that in my last post. I have zero pain, thankfully. :)
